Hey Second Family Seniors!
We exist first and foremost to glorify God and exalt the Lord Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to equip the Saints, edify the body of Christ, and offer various opportunities for our seniors to do the work of the ministry. Our desire is to disciple, prepare, and then provide places of service so that they may know experientially what God has called them to do by obeying Him through ministering to others.
“They will still bear fruit in old age, healthy and green, to declare: ‘The Lord is just; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.'” Psalm 92:14-15

Senior Ministry Opportunities
Helping Hands (Men) | The goal of this ministry is to assist senior adults and our military families of Second Baptist Church whose loved ones are deployed in service to our country.
- Repair or replace basic carpentry issues in the houses of our senior adults who lack adequate resources or have family members who cannot do the work.
- Lawn mowing and yard care is provided for those needy senior adults and family members whose loved ones are deployed, and who have no one else to provide this service.
- A Pallbearer Committee is available for church members upon request.
Helping Hearts (Women) | In this ministry, we have multiple teams who visit, call, send cards, and pray for our seniors who are in nursing homes, personal care homes, or who are unable to physically attend services.
